Healthy attic airflow and clean eaves go hand in hand. On this Saint Joseph project, Dennison Roofing & Gutter Toppers refreshed the home’s perimeter ventilation and trim: new white fully vented soffit, new 8″ white aluminum fascia, and a CertainTeed Ridge Vent upgrade along the ridge.
To protect the existing drainage system, the crew carefully removed and saved the gutters and Gutter Topper before opening the eave edges for J-Channel and the new soffit and fascia. Gable fascia was custom-bent from white aluminum trim coil so the peaks matched the eaves. Inside the attic, old gable vents were closed off with RoofRunner synthetic felt so exhaust could move through the new ridge vent instead of competing openings. Insulation was adjusted as needed for proper airflow at the eaves.
When the white soffit and fascia were complete—about nine squares of vented soffit and roughly 300 feet of 8″ fascia—the saved gutters and Gutter Topper were reinstalled for a continuous, finished look against the brick exterior.
