This St. Joseph, MI homeowner wanted a brick ranch that looked sharp and didn’t need painting or gutter cleaning. Dennison Roofing & Gutter Toppers delivered vinyl siding, soffit, fascia and gutter guards in one project: CertainTeed vinyl siding on the house and garage gables, fully vented soffit, White aluminum fascia, new seamless gutters with Solution gutter covers, and new front porch posts.
Vinyl Siding in St. Joseph, MI: CertainTeed Monogram on the Gables
We installed CertainTeed Monogram D4″ vinyl siding on the house gables and the garage gable, so they are low-maintenance from now on. We also covered the remaining exposed wood, including the board below the front fascia, with White trim coil.
Soffit and Fascia in St. Joseph, MI
We installed 18″ White soffit, all of it vented, so fresh air can flow into the attic and help keep it cooler in summer and drier in winter. Around the roofline went 245 ft of 8″ White aluminum fascia, which protects the wood behind it from rain and rot and gives the gutters a clean, solid face to mount to.
New Seamless Gutters
We tore off the old gutters and installed 116 ft of new White 5″ seamless gutters, reconnected to the existing White downspouts. Seamless gutters are formed on site to fit each run of the house, so there are no seams along the runs to leak.
Solution Gutter Guards by Gutter Topper
On top of the new gutters went 116 ft of White Solution gutter guards in 4 ft panels. We always choose the gutter cover color that best matches the home, and White matches the new gutters, soffit and fascia.
- Solution is made by Gutter Topper, the manufacturer of four gutter covers: Gutter Topper, Needle Guard, Leaf Terminator and Solution.
- Together they are the only gutter protection system to pass 2 independent agencies’ tests: no clogging, torrential rain, 110 mph winds, and 1,200 lbs per sq ft of snow load.
- All four have written certification from roofing manufacturers that their unique installation does not harm or void a homeowner’s roof warranty.
- Solution is made of .019 aluminum, comes in 6 colors, and carries a 15-year warranty plus a 20-year paint finish warranty.
New Front Porch Posts
We replaced the 4 front porch posts with new 4″ x 6″ posts set on HDPE 4″ x 6″ x 1″ risers with post-to-base connectors. The risers lift the bottom of each post off the concrete, so it isn’t sitting in water.
Benefits for the homeowner:
- No more painting the gables, soffit or fascia
- Better attic ventilation through fully vented soffit
- No more climbing ladders to clean gutters
- Rainwater carried away from the foundation and landscaping
- Gutter covers color-matched to the home
- A gutter cover certified not to harm or void the roof warranty
- Sturdy new porch posts that stay off the wet concrete
