At this St. Joseph, MI home we tore off 65 ft of old gutters and replaced them with new 6″ Buckskin seamless gutters and oversized 3×4 downspouts. The existing gutters we kept got a tune-up: cleaned out, downspouts cleared, and repitched where needed. We checked and adjusted the flashing around the garage end caps. We installed Tan Gutter Topper on Buckskin gutters with a B1 diverter, using a fascia-mount installation so the cover never touches the low-pitch rubber roof or affects its warranty. Gutter Topper is the only gutter cover line certified by roofing manufacturers not to harm or void their warranty. We replaced an old broken heat cable with a new Heated Ice Release System. It runs down the downspout and back up, along the gutter bottom, and back under the Topper on aluminum J-channel to melt ice and help prevent icicles and ice dams. Gutter Topper was rated the #1 solid metal gutter cover by a leading consumer testing magazine and is one of the only gutter protection products to pass 2 independent tests: no clogging, torrential rain, 110 mph winds, and 1,200 lbs per sq ft of ice and snow load.
