Soil Pipe & Electrical Riser Boot Protection

Four levels of protection are applied to soil pipes. The initial layer consists of a waterproof WinterGuard ice and water shield, which is applied to the roof deck and the base of the pipe. This shield facilitates the adhesion of the underlayment to both the pipe and the roof deck. The second level involves applying high-grade Geocel sealant to the base of the pipe and the waterproof underlayment to eliminate any potential leaks at the seal point. Subsequently, a high-grade soil pipe boot with integrated metal flashing is slid over and down the pipe, preventing water from seeping onto the pipe’s exterior and through the top of the boot. The final layer of protection comprises lifetime warranty shingles, which are installed around the pipe. For aesthetic purposes, the pipe is also painted in the same color as the shingles.

For Electrical Risers, we utilize a ZipSeal Retrofit Boot. This retrofitting flashing solution is specifically designed for electrical masts on asphalt shingle roofs, providing unparalleled versatility and durability. It offers the same four levels of waterproofing protection.
